This cabinet is from St Nicholas Priory Church in Exeter. The Benedictine Priory of St Nicholas was a Benedictine monastery founded in Exeter, England, in 1087. At the dissolution of the monasteries the church and chapter house range were pulled down but the domestic buildings were left intact. The buildings are now used as a museum and is where this cabinet was sourced from.
Working key and adjustable shelves. Pelmet, glazed bookcase and base cupboard comes apart for transport. The base cupboard and glazed bookcase are screwed together for strength, holes are visible on the back so that the whole cabinet can be attached to a wall. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character.
